Yevgeniya Mikhailik is a Southern California-based artist working primarily in drawing. Her work combines observational drawing, studies of plant micrographs, abstracted landscapes, and both real and imagined plant and fungal forms. Informed by the growing research in plant science on plant consciousness and communication systems, her work explores connections among various species of plants, trees, and fungi, and looks at plant intelligence through the complementary lenses of scientific inquiry and imagination.
